Hard work low pay. Decent hours, the management could have been allot better. If you need a job then go there, but not your first choice. You need to be physically fit to do this job

This is a good starting point. You can make a career out of it, but your not going to make a lot of money. The benefits are good. People are caring. But living in Austin, TX you need to make more money.

In-Home Support & Senior services Program Manager

Chicago, IL - March 3, 2020

Although, there have been organizational changes in the past few years that do not make much sense, Salvation Army is all about serving the community.

Employees at the Salvation Army are dedicated to helping their clients to the best of their abilities. Despite the changes in departments, positions, lay-offs, etc workers at my agency adjust for the betterment of serving others. Employment is not as stable as I would like because it is a non-profit organization but, it is a good organization nonetheless.

Salvation army

They didn't pay the best for the amount of work you were doing especially with everyone that quits and calls in. Though they were easy to get onto if you live close to them

Shelby Charter Township, MI - March 2, 2020

Was not a bad first job at all

Be prepared.

Baltimore, MD - March 2, 2020

I loved the people and the work but... I was promised allot of things I never received and was lied too allot.

I love the people and I love helping people.. but I did way too many peoples jobs, I was lied too about promotions, I was lied to about pay. I was promised to be promoted which never happened.. I then was told I made more then the guy before me... later to find out that even after a substantial raise I still didn't even make what he did and I did 10x the amount of work he did.. I was undervalued and underappreciated.
