Publix Customer Service Staff

Fort Myers, FL - March 5, 2020

Flexible, fun and productive work place with family like employees.

Publix is a great place of employment. I can be myself while everyone is so accepting. My mangers are very caring about me as a person. Every day when I go into work I am greeted by fellow employees. I feel like the work I do at Publix matters and that I do make a difference. I enjoy interacting with many different people from different states and even different countries. I am challenged day in and day out with customers I face and problems thrown in my path. My fellow employees and managers help me if needed.

Flexible

Publix was very flexible and understanding about school and loved to help the community. Being part of the different community service groups was the best part about being at Publix

Contact Center Agent

Lakeland, FL - March 5, 2020

Benefits were amazing, but no room for advancement and a stressful job

I worked in a call center that had a rather high turnover rate with a lot of temp employees. They were rarely fully staffed, but expected the remaining employees to keep up with the very high demand. It resulted in a very stressful work environment, but the management and team members did their best to keep morale up as best they could.

Good place to work

I had a manager that was very moody but I could learn a lot with him.

Good company

Each individual store is different. The Management dictates the overall atmosphere. Poor management ruin great employees. Great management produce employees that flourish. I’ve witnessed both. Publix as a company, has great benefits; better if you are full time, which is hard to come by. You are required to work during holiday seasons. No time off for visiting your family during those times.

Customer service/ Cashier/ Produce Clerk/ Grocery Replenishment Specialist

Kissimmee, Florida - March 4, 2020

Great Company

Great company. Easy to move up and the stock share is pretty great as well. I'm currently leaving because I'm moving up north where they do not have publix. Getting a pretty big check from publix for my stock that was all just given to me. I never bought any extra.

Cashier

Orlando, FL - March 4, 2020

An "okay" company to work for at a young age but not for long.

At this company i do not get the encouragement from my mangers to help me succeed or become advanced in my job. I've asked for full time and new job responsibilities but they yet to talk about this with m only ignoring me. Long work hours with short breaks as well that are early, they are not helpful when it comes to correct scheduling either.

Frozen Foods Clerk

An employee owned company

Because Publix Supermarkets is an employee owned company, compensation and benefits are good and include quarterly bonuses and annual dividend yields it is however difficult to advance

Great place to work

I starting working for Publix as a sophomore in high school and now I am a sophomore in college. From then to now I still continue to work for such a great company.

Customer Service

Cullman, AL - March 4, 2020

Great

Publix was great until I moved back to Cullman AL. Where I'd been doing great, I all of a sudden couldn't do anything right. First time waxing floors and my store manager yelled at me in front of everyone. Something that happened had been blamed on me, given I was the person in charge at the time but I took all steps and precautions to make sure I was doing it right.

Cashier/Customer Service

Columbus, GA - March 4, 2020

Overall it was a pleasant experience working for Publix aside from a few minor issues .

Overall I enjoyed my time working for Publix . Aside from a few minor issues that need to be fixed. The pay is great but you have to fight for hours and the scheduling is very inconsistent. Short staffed majority of the time and sometimes there is a lack of communication between managers and associates.

Cheese Specialist

Greensboro, GA - March 3, 2020

Very valuable questions

My job is a cheese specialist. Publix isn't very focused on the culture the company grew up to be. My job is not difficult, we just suffer from short staffed. Pay is low grade with small raises.

Produce Clerk

Tampa, FL - March 3, 2020

Busy weekends; Productivity (things to do) varies based on amount of customers.

I am a produce clerk as of writing this review. My typical day is putting products out to sales from in the morning, maintaining the floor towards the afternoon, and doing any cleaning up in the backroom towards the end of my shift. The goal in the produce department is to get as many products out as possible while making sure the sales floor is full and leveled. Moreover, we are expected to help any customer that is in need. The hardest part of the job is working along with coworkers who lack ownership and initiative. It can make it feel overwhelming during busy times. However, I do enjoy working with many other associates who are friendly and positive.

My experience at Publix is we always ensure the happiness of customers. We want customers to come back and visit us. That is the most important to us. If a customer isn’t happy, we will do whatever it takes for the customer to feel appreciated. This is something That Publix is valued the most for.
