Sales Associate

Los Angeles, CA - March 5, 2020

Michales is a decent company, but cares more about image than actual improvement and care of customers and company

Michaels is not a bad company completely, but fails in many ways.

Customer Experience Manager/General Manager

Reston, VA - March 5, 2020

Fun and fast-paced place to work

My store of employees and management alike became my family. I miss them dearly. If I hadn't moved, I would've stayed with the company much longer--I'd even return if I could find the same pay/position at another location.

Receiving Associate/ RTL Picker

New Lenox, IL - March 4, 2020

nice place to work

nice place to work but there is favortism there and some will overwork you so you can quit management are helpful to a certain extent but overall a nice place and environment to work

Frame Shop Manager

Virginia - March 3, 2020

Can be a great place to work.

It has been an enjoyable place to work when there is good management. The direction the company is taking good. Focused on the customer. Fun products and great customers. Stinks working every saturday and pay isnt competetive with other places in the area.

Store Associate/CEM

Matthews, NC - March 3, 2020

Decent Job

Overall I like my job 50% of the time. The staff and management here are awesome

Replenishment Associate

Colorado Springs, CO - March 3, 2020

Very Physical work but great environment

after working for Michaels replan team for almost 2 years I can honestly say that while there have been sometimes where I haven't seen eye to eye with management it has been a very enjoyable experience to the point where i still keep in touch with the employees who have come and gone. My only other complaint that I would have is the significant drop in hours for the first few months of the year it is definitely enough to not have a livable wage on unless you are management which is very much good luck getting a management position.

Support Specialist

Temple, TX - March 2, 2020

Enjoyable to a fault.

What began as my favorite job has slowly spiraled into a shift to be dreaded. In an environment that seems to promote drama and division within it's ranks I fail to fit in. The hardest part of the job used to be the growing effort to improve myself, however, after excelling in my position only to have others take credit for my hard work and determination, I have decided the hardest part is simply to treat people the way I would like to be treated. A shift in management would greatly improve this work environment.

Sales Associate

Cypress, TX - March 2, 2020

Quick to learn customer service skills

A list of rounds to complete while on duty while handling the register along with returning items to the shelf on downtime and assisting customers with needs about craft projects etc.

Sales Associate and Cashier

Dallas, TX - March 1, 2020

Productive and fast pace

The job is face paced and required a lot of moving, especially on holidays. I gained new skills when needed; job's filled with seasonal and part time.

Sales Associate

Los Angeles, CA - March 5, 2020

Michales is a decent company, but cares more about image than actual improvement and care of customers and company

Michaels is not a bad company completely, but fails in many ways.

Replenishment Associate

Coralville, IA - March 1, 2020

Awful Management

Co-workers were all really nice and the actual work isn't bad at all, however management doesn't know how to operate a store properly and they don't care about you. it's all fine up front but the more involved you get the worse the job is. there is no communication and the minimum wage workers are the ones who take the fall for it. there's also little training involved. if you need 5 hours a week it's not so bad but anytime more than that you will regret.

Chandler, AZ - February 29, 2020

I worked at Michael’s for about 3yrs, they don’t give much on the yearly raises, it is not a job you will support a family on. There’s room for advancement if you are interested in that

Presentation Manager

Santa Fe, NM - February 29, 2020

Good company to work for

Michael’s has its ups and downs that every company has. I absolutely love the team environment. Growing together and helping one another. Work life balance is decent if you don’t get all your planning done for the upcoming week you’ll find yourself doing it at home. The company many times has unrealistic expectations and doesn’t provide the hours to get the workloads completed within the work which forces you to get creative to accomplish timelines.

Floral Designer

Holland, MI - February 28, 2020

It was only okay .

It's retail, cash registers, stocking, customer service, low pay. People seemed to hate working there. I didn't, but I left as soon as I found something better.

Team Member

Morgantown, WV - February 27, 2020

Small team

The replenishment team is small but we manage to get all of our work done on time. The team gets along well and works well together. This is a great place to work.

Cashier, Stocker

Huntington Station, NY 11746 - February 26, 2020

Very relaxing and simple.

Although Michaels is an amazing store filled with amazing people, the hours are short and I hope to be a waitress where I am more hands-on with my work.

Replenishment and Personal Designer

Cincinnati, OH - February 25, 2020

Part time retail job

It's a part time job in retail, with very full-time manager positions. However, it offers the ability to cross-train into various departments. The management it fun and works well with school/family schedules.

Cashier and Stocker

West Valley City, UT - February 24, 2020

It’s a fun place to work, just trust me. Everybody there is lively and always has something fun to talk about. The people who go there are always fun as well good first job.
