Great starter job or to advance in your career.

If you love working with people, H-E-B is the store for you. There are several departments to choose from. Several learning and improvement opportunities.

productive and fun place to work

They are very flexible with my school schedule. They care about their employees and make sure everyone is satisfied. The hardest part of the job is when it gets busy.

HEB was one of my favorite jobs and it had a very welcoming environment and management really tries to work with you. They are really understanding and it's a great place to work

Cashier/Customer Service

Good Enviroment overall

HEB is overall a good company to work for. Would like to have medical insurance, however, you have to be full time to receive this benefit and full time positions are rarely available.

Overnight Stocker

Austin, TX - March 3, 2020

Great place to work

Be ready to work hard if you get hired. Overnight stockers get overworked at smaller stores. Management is great at some stores not so great at others

Spring, TX - March 3, 2020

Great place to work out but not grow at

H-E-B is an amazing company to work for but it’s very difficult to get a full time position. Pay is good if you’re not looking for a permanent job. Managers are super nice and Assistant managers are nice as well. Very flexible schedule if you have another job or attending college/high school.

Cashier/Customer Service

Summerwood, TX - March 3, 2020

Very great company

I have worked at HEB for 2 years now and I have had the best time working for them. They are very willing to listen to employees and love to help then succeed.

Scratch Baker - March 3, 2020

Overall great COMPANY with lazy managers

HEB is a wonderful company to work for, but the individual managers for the bakery departments I have worked for are horrible. Out of 12 managers I have worked for I felt confident in what I was doing with only 3. I learned a lot from these three managers, felt respected, cared for, and confident as a partner when working with them.

Houston, TX - March 3, 2020

Great in between job.

Great for someone who is not quite able to work at their dream job but has bills to pay like everyone else. Pay increase is nice and periodic every six months I believe.

fun place to work

This was a high school and early community college job that we are talking about. Fun times, got to meet a lot of different folks from different backgrounds. Learned how to deal with public issues and attitudes to effectively resolve problems.

Good starter job with a lot of promotion opportunity for those wanting to be retail

Management is open on communication and understanding on unique situations. Hours are really flexible and easy to rearrange with coworkers. Its a fast placed job with plenty to do.

Midland, TX - March 2, 2020

Job quality

It’s a good place to work at, if I could go back I would. It wasn’t to hard but it wasn’t to easy, there were slow days and there was fast days, weekend we’re always the Busiest

Deli/Flaming Bird Senior Partner

San Marcos, TX - March 1, 2020

Great company for full time, part time structure needs improvement

I loved working at HEB, and how they valued every customer with care and respect. The roles I fulfilled while working within the company were head cook, front end customer care, prep line, cashier, meat/cheese slicer, and dishwasher. Because of the heavy workload and many hours on your feet, I felt like the level of compensation was not sufficient enough for all the tasks at hand. I was hired as part-time with full-time hour shifts. One might say that was a good thing, but that's where the company is saving money on direct labor costs. Part time employees with extended hours were not eligible for benefits or incentives, and management effectively bypassed the need and costs of full time employees. All in all, if you're hired on as a full time employee, HEB is the best. If you're working part-time be prepared to be worked hard with non-proportional compensation.

Night Stocker

Corpus Christi, TX - February 26, 2020

A Great Company!

The best company I've work for ever they really do care about their employees! Always offering things to the employees like great benefits, able to work more hours if you wanna work, usually get days off that you request off.
