Great Customers, Terrible Coworkers

I think interacting with the customers was the only enjoyable thing about this job surprisingly. Being the new worker, all the other crew members shucked all the grunt work on me. I was even pushed to work past the time I clocked out due to inspections happening the next day and I kept with it because I was desperate for a job. I ended up quitting because I just couldn't handle it anymore.

Easy- pace job to know that you have the ability to fulfill the duties

Chipotle has a nice rhythm and I would recommend anyone to work there if they are looking for their first job. Management is very flexible with your schedule and allows you to learn as much as you would like to get the experience that is needed .

Fun workplace but can be tiring. Lots of FUN!

Chipotle Mexican Grill has such a strong foundation. They know what they're doing. You'll learn about the history and the foundation that keeps chipotle a successful fast food chain. I started of as Line and I LOVED it. There is A LOT you need to learn like portioning and calling out food. But you'll learn and its very fun creating customers entrees. I then moved on to Prep which is back of the house work. Its not so bad but it is a lot of dishes you have to do. Managers and other coworkers help you out tho. Grill can be challenging but makes time go by super fast. I feel like crew members should get paid at least a dollar more if you work prep or grill. Ive been with the company for three years now and I highly recommend Chipotle as a first job.

Sadly a negative experience

Too fast paced for comfort and constantly almost slipping on the wet floors despite wearing anti slip shoes. A typical day includes showing up early and prepping the food, cleaning the tables, and have everything in check before opening. Constantly being moved everywhere instead of being in one place, the back kitchen is typically overcrowded with team members which can lead in a safety hazard.

Great place to work, unfair management.

The work environment was excellent, but when it came to the managers, they made work a little less bearable. The hardest part of the job is getting used to getting orders correct the first time in a quick manner. The most enjoyable part of the job are the friendly customers.

Not bad but I wouldn't go back

While working here I felt like i wasn't in the right place. It often left me feeling less energized and more moody after a day of work because of how long you have to stand in one place. Staff were nice to each other and the customers but dealing with standing in one place all night long. Also, scheduling was not flexible at all

Depending on your managers the job can be very stressful and can seem a bit unfair sometimes but other than that it is a great job especially for when you’re just stepping into the work field.

Timing was everything

The best part of the job was the people. Consistently putting the best their best foot forward and it showed in the food. The most challenging part was time. We had to be on our toes to get the next thing done. You would get an allotted time to get things prepped and move to the next thing. Making fresh food everyday was something we prided on.

Great company, lots of medical benefits, you get your 40 plus hours a week. Management needs work with putting all the work on kitchen employees but overall you can excel at this company and even get assistance for college. Many scholarships.
