Pittsburgh, PA - February 24, 2018

Fun and productive workplace with many advancements

I started this job with no experience in the food industry, two years later I advanced from a crew member, to a takeout specialist, to now being a certified trainer. This has been nothing but a learning experience for me. I've how to teach and train others so that they're performing at their greatest potential.

Great Customers, Terrible Coworkers

I think interacting with the customers was the only enjoyable thing about this job surprisingly. Being the new worker, all the other crew members shucked all the grunt work on me. I was even pushed to work past the time I clocked out due to inspections happening the next day and I kept with it because I was desperate for a job. I ended up quitting because I just couldn't handle it anymore.

Easy- pace job to know that you have the ability to fulfill the duties

Chipotle has a nice rhythm and I would recommend anyone to work there if they are looking for their first job. Management is very flexible with your schedule and allows you to learn as much as you would like to get the experience that is needed .

Crew Member/Cashier/Trainer

clean workplace

The position I held at Chipotle served it's purpose during my time there. If not for my need for growth fiscally, i may have spent more time at the establishment.

Fun workplace but can be tiring. Lots of FUN!

Chipotle Mexican Grill has such a strong foundation. They know what they're doing. You'll learn about the history and the foundation that keeps chipotle a successful fast food chain. I started of as Line and I LOVED it. There is A LOT you need to learn like portioning and calling out food. But you'll learn and its very fun creating customers entrees. I then moved on to Prep which is back of the house work. Its not so bad but it is a lot of dishes you have to do. Managers and other coworkers help you out tho. Grill can be challenging but makes time go by super fast. I feel like crew members should get paid at least a dollar more if you work prep or grill. Ive been with the company for three years now and I highly recommend Chipotle as a first job.

Crew member / server on the line

Tustin, CA - March 5, 2020

Sadly a negative experience

Too fast paced for comfort and constantly almost slipping on the wet floors despite wearing anti slip shoes. A typical day includes showing up early and prepping the food, cleaning the tables, and have everything in check before opening. Constantly being moved everywhere instead of being in one place, the back kitchen is typically overcrowded with team members which can lead in a safety hazard.

Good place

Good place to work for good pay ok people. Very clean work environment very well health code maintained. You move up in the company fast. Good bennifits

Great place to work, unfair management.

The work environment was excellent, but when it came to the managers, they made work a little less bearable. The hardest part of the job is getting used to getting orders correct the first time in a quick manner. The most enjoyable part of the job are the friendly customers.

Crew Member

Oakland, CA - March 4, 2020

Not bad but I wouldn't go back

While working here I felt like i wasn't in the right place. It often left me feeling less energized and more moody after a day of work because of how long you have to stand in one place. Staff were nice to each other and the customers but dealing with standing in one place all night long. Also, scheduling was not flexible at all

Somewhat pleasing

Depending on your managers the job can be very stressful and can seem a bit unfair sometimes but other than that it is a great job especially for when you’re just stepping into the work field.

Apprentice Manager

Irving, TX - March 3, 2020

Timing was everything

The best part of the job was the people. Consistently putting the best their best foot forward and it showed in the food. The most challenging part was time. We had to be on our toes to get the next thing done. You would get an allotted time to get things prepped and move to the next thing. Making fresh food everyday was something we prided on.

Herndon, VA 20170 - March 3, 2020

Productive and fun workplace overall very respectful place.

A typical day at work consist of being friendly with customers and ensuring everything is restocked. I learned some new customer service technique's. Management is always occupied and the job culture is very upgoing and responsive. The hardest part of the job was afternoon times.

Okay Experience

I don't really have much to say about this job besides the fact that it was a little hard work but it was excellent food. One of my favorite spots to eat at.

Pretty good

At chipotle I had flexible hours it was very busy at time but if the team work together you will get through it it tough at times but what job isn’t I say go for it

Prep Cook

Atlanta, GA - March 3, 2020

Great company and keeps you busy

Great company, lots of medical benefits, you get your 40 plus hours a week. Management needs work with putting all the work on kitchen employees but overall you can excel at this company and even get assistance for college. Many scholarships.

Awesome exciting and refreshing

Chipotle was a great starter job as they value customer service and performance as much as any company in today’s world. I was challenged each and every day of work and the managers there made time go so fast by being respectful and keeping me busy.
