Everyone’s heard of Beyoncé. She is one of the biggest stars in the world. Regarding that, it’s safe to say that she knows a thing or two about business. She is much more than a singer. She made a brand out of her name. Some people jokingly say that she could record a track where she’d sneeze, and people would buy it like crazy. Even though it’s a joke, I don’t find it hard to believe. She is an incredible artist and an incredible businesswoman, and we can learn a lot from her. We decided to list 5 business tricks that make Beyoncé THE boss, and you can do it too.
1. She works hard
It’s safe to say that she’s worked her way up since she was a little girl. She even jokingly claims that her earliest performances were in kindergarten, but that even then they were very serious about it. When she’s on tour, she’s gonna stay up all night if that’s necessary, just to be sure that everything will be set up the way she wants it. She never shows that she’s tired because it gives others excuse to be tired as well. Now we’re not saying you shouldn’t sleep. But if you want something, you need to work hard for it. It isn’t always easy, but if it were easy, everyone would be successful.
2. She’s professional
No matter the situation, when she comes to get the work done- she gets work done. No excuses. Let’s all just remember the time at the concert when her hair got stuck in a fan. She did not blink an eye, she kept singing like nothing’s happening. Her team solved the problem quickly, but she did not miss a single beat. Now if that isn’t professional, I don’t know what is. That means we should separate our private affairs from our work life. Once you come to your job, you’re there to get the job done. They say that all work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Well, no one knows who that Jack is. But everyone knows who Beyoncé is. I rest my case.
3. She knows to keep it calm
It’s very unlikely you’ll catch Beyoncé making a scene. When she’s performing, she knows why she’s there. When unexpected things happen, she remains collected. On one of her shows, a fan slapped her bum. It was obvious she was annoyed by it (who wouldn’t be, honestly?) but she didn’t have a fit on the stage. She addressed it by calmly saying she’ll have the fan escorted out of the venue. There will be situations at work where you will want to explode. People can sometimes get on your nerves, but it is important to keep it calm and collected.
4. She knows what she wants
Beyoncé is a visionary. When she thinks of something, she is determined to get it. She is sensitive about her work and her vision, and she doesn’t settle for less. There is no compromise. When performing, she knows every single detail that makes her performance. If something isn’t right, oh boy! These people will get fired. My point isn’t that you should get rid of people that may mess up. My point is that you should always be sure about what is that you want, and never settle for anything other than that. When other people tell you that you can’t do something, just say: “I will do it with or without your help”, and then prove them wrong.
5. She knows her worth
When you’re Beyoncé, the sky is the limit, really. But what people seem to forget is that she worked her way all up to the sky. And how’s that? Because she knew her worth and she knew she was capable to do so. That’s exactly what you should do too. Know your worth and know what you’re capable of. If you believe in yourself, you won’t find it hard to stay on the track. You can do anything you want if you put your mind to it.
There are a lot of great singers out there, but what sets Beyoncé apart from the rest is that she is an extraordinary businesswoman. She used her talent to make a lucrative business and she keeps on growing. Use your talents, work hard and don’t stop until you’re satisfied.
