We’re already pacing fast through May, and in no time summer will arrive. Everyone is getting ready for summer, one way or another. Some are going on a vacation, while some plan on working throughout entire summer. But working during the summer isn’t particularly easy. The good this is that this season offers us some jobs that you’d probably have a hard time finding at any other time. Why not grab the opportunity and immerse yourself in one of these 5 jobs that are just perfect for summertime?
1. Tour Guide
It’s no secret that people prefer to travel during summer. Summer is always a season flooded with tourists. If you’re into landmarks, history, and traveling-tour guiding is a perfect call for you. You’ll meet a lot of interesting people, learn a lot about history and geography, and you’ll get to travel. And guess what-you’ll get paid as well. If that isn’t perfect for summertime, I don’t know what is.
If one of your favorite shows was Baywatch, you could be a star of it as well. Well, not exactly but you see my point? For those that swim like a fish, and enjoy the combination of sun and water- this is a dream come true. Most of the time you’re just chilling at the beach or by the pool, but of course, sometimes you’ll need to intervene. If you are ready for that responsibility, this is an ideal job.
3. Camp Counselor
Did you go to camp? Many adults have fond memories of their camping days. Why not be a part of these beautiful memories? If you’re an outdoorsy type, you like working with children and enjoy spooky stories along campfire- you would love this job. It is a rewarding job, and it feels like a vacation itself. Imagine spending your summer nights in nature’s embrace. Why not give it a shot? I’m sure you won’t regret it.
4. Resort Employee
Are you dreaming of some summer paradise resort, but can’t afford it? Why not get paid to be there? As a resort employee, you can brag about being there, and most of these employees have some kind of privileges when it comes to using their services. You don’t have to be afraid that you’ll end up as Jack the dull boy. You get to work and then play afterward. Doesn’t sound half bad, does it?
5. Ice Cream Seller
You can work on an ice cream stand or in a shop where they sell ice cream (e.g. Baskin-Robbins). Everyone loves ice cream, and imagine being surrounded by it all the time. Considering that ice cream is one of the favorite kid’s treats, you’ll encounter a lot of children. This is why it’s desirable that you are good with kids. But we can all agree that nothing says summer like a scoop of ice cream.
And there you have it. Among these 5 jobs, there’s probably at least one that sounds enticing. Furthermore, if you’re not sure about how you’re going to spend your summer, hope that now you’ve got an idea. While some of your friends might be out and about, you can mix business with pleasure, have some fun and earn some bucks.
